Investment funds: unit value, net assets and inflows (CVM Daily Report)
The unit value, net assets, unitholders, inflows and redemptions of every investment fund registered with the CVM,
as the administrator reports them every business day. The page is /fundos (search by name or tax ID,
the largest funds and the largest inflows and outflows of the month); each fund has its own, /fundos/<14-digit CNPJ>;
the JSON/CSV route is /fundos/informe.

The file, checked
CSV header (latin-1, ; separator), identical in 2023-12, 2024-09 and 2026-10:
TP_FUNDO_CLASSE;CNPJ_FUNDO_CLASSE;ID_SUBCLASSE;DT_COMPTC;VL_TOTAL;VL_QUOTA;VL_PATRIM_LIQ;CAPTC_DIA;RESG_DIA;NR_COTST
The CVM republished older files in the Resolution 175 layout. Before it the tax ID column was called CNPJ_FUNDO
(with no ID_SUBCLASSE); the reader accepts both names. A file without the checked columns is refused and the month
stays as it was. October 2026: about 510 thousand rows, 25,462 tax IDs, all with a name in the register.
What we keep
We do not keep every daily row. Per fund and month, one row:
- the snapshot of the last reported day of the month: unit value (
VL_QUOTA), net assets (VL_PATRIM_LIQ) and unitholders (NR_COTST); - the monthly sum of inflows (
CAPTC_DIA) and redemptions (RESG_DIA), and how many days the fund reported.
A 13-month window ending in the current month. The CVM updates the current and previous months every day; the weekly build downloads the 3 newest months again and reads the older ones from the aggregate kept on disk.
Class and subclass
Since CVM Resolution 175 the report may come per subclass. When the class row exists (empty ID_SUBCLASSE), it is used
and the subclasses are ignored (adding them would count twice). With subclasses only, net assets, unitholders and flows
are the sum of the subclasses, and the unit value only shows when there is one subclass: with two or more, each has
its own and none is the fund's.
Our calculations
- Net inflow = inflows minus redemptions in the month.
- Monthly unit change = unit value on the last day against the last day of the previous month, in %. It is not the fund's official return.
- Reference month of the rankings = the newest closed month with at least 85% of the funds of the fullest month. The current month is partial and stays out of the rankings.
- We do not add up the net assets of all funds: funds of funds invest in other funds, and the total would count the same money twice.
When the source fails
A month that does not download, or comes in a different layout, stays as it was in the database; a register that does
not download keeps the names already stored. The result of each collection goes to meta['fundos_cvm_coleta'] and to
the fundos block of /saude.
