Telecom accesses per operator
According to Anatel — mobile telephony: 220,921,381 accesses in Aug 2026, led by VIVO with 38.9%; fixed broadband: 58,685,167 accesses in Aug 2026, led by CLARO with 18.1%.
Anatel, the telecommunications regulator, publishes every month how many accesses in service each operator has: mobile lines (mobile telephony) and fixed internet connections (fixed broadband). This page sums those numbers per operator and shows the size of each one, how much it weighs in the national total and how much it changed in 12 months. Operators with a B3 stock (Vivo, VIVT3; TIM, TIMS3) appear linked to the ticker when the Anatel tax ID is the one of the listed company. Claro, of the América Móvil group, is not listed on B3.

How to read each column
- Access: a line or connection in service at the end of the month. In mobile telephony the number does NOT include M2M (machine to machine, such as meters and trackers) or service points, which Anatel counts separately; it is the same criterion as Anatel's official total. In fixed broadband every product is included, as in the official total.
- Operator: the sum of the Anatel rows with the same tax ID (the source publishes by municipality, technology and product). The sum is ours. Operators with 100 thousand accesses or more are shown; the smaller ones stay inside the total.
- Total: the sum of ALL operators in the file, including the smaller ones. The sum is ours and matches the total Anatel itself publishes in the months checked.
- Share: the operator's accesses ÷ total, in %. The calculation is ours.
- 12-month change: the month's accesses against the same month a year earlier, in %. The calculation is ours.
- Consolidated and preliminary month: Anatel revises the newest month and small providers deliver late (in September 2026 the official fixed broadband total fell because of it). The ranking uses the month before the newest; the newest appears apart, marked preliminary.
- An operator is not the stock: we only link to a stock when the full tax ID of the Anatel row is the one of a company with a ticker. The economic group Anatel reports (for example, Telefónica) is only information from the source, not a link.

Our calculations are: the sum per operator and month (the source publishes by municipality), the TOTAL line, the share and the 12-month change. Everything else is the number Anatel published. The raw Anatel files are not republished here. It is a regulator aggregate that nobody rebuilds from a public company filing, so it lives in the Macro section.
